How I handle the personal information you share with me
This privacy policy explains what personal information Website Design Ballarat collects, why I collect it and how I look after it. It’s written in plain English so you can see exactly what happens when you use this website or send me an enquiry.
A sole trader web designer based in Ballarat
Website Design Ballarat is a sole trader business run by Nick Fritzkowski. In this policy “I”, “me” and “my” mean Nick and Website Design Ballarat. The policy applies to this website and to any personal information you give me when asking about or using my web design, SEO, Google Ads or maintenance services.
I take privacy seriously and use the Australian Privacy Principles as the guide for how I collect, use, store and share personal information.
Only what I need to reply to you and do the work
When you fill in the enquiry form, email me or call me, I may collect the following.
To reply, quote and look after your project
I use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, carry out the work you’ve asked for, send invoices and keep in touch about your website. I don’t sell or rent your personal information to anyone and I don’t add you to a mailing list without asking first.
I may keep records of emails and quotes for as long as I need them for the work and for tax and business record keeping.
Understanding how people use this site
This website uses Google Analytics, which places small files called cookies in your browser. These help me see things like how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where they come from. The information is grouped together and doesn’t tell me who you are.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will still work if you do.
Measuring which ads lead to enquiries
I may run Google Ads for this business. Google uses cookies and similar tracking to show ads to people who have visited this site and to report when someone who clicked an ad goes on to call or send an enquiry. This tells me which ads are worth paying for.
Google handles this data under its own privacy terms. You can change the ads Google shows you through your Google account ad settings.
Trusted services that help run the business
To run the business I use a small number of outside services, such as website hosting, email, accounting software and Google tools. Your details may be stored on their systems. Some of these providers keep data on servers outside Australia. I choose well known providers and only share what’s needed.
I won’t share your personal information with anyone else unless you ask me to or the law requires it.
Sensible steps to protect what you share
I keep personal information on password protected devices and accounts, use secure connections and delete information I no longer need. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable care to protect your details from misuse, loss or unauthorised access.
And how to raise a concern
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you or ask me to correct or delete it. Email [email protected] or call 0413 651 740 and I’ll respond within a reasonable time.
If you have a privacy concern, please contact me first so I can try to put it right. If you’re not happy with my response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
I may update this privacy policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page. Last updated October 2026.
