The plain English rules for using this site and working with me
These website terms cover your use of this site and the web design, SEO, Google Ads and maintenance services I provide through Website Design Ballarat. I’ve kept them short and readable so there are no surprises.
General information, not personal advice
The information on this website is general and is provided to help you understand my services. I do my best to keep it accurate and up to date, but it isn’t advice for your particular business. Prices shown include GST and may change, so the price on your written quote is the one that applies.
The words, layout and design of this website belong to Website Design Ballarat. Please don’t copy them for your own site.
How a project is priced and paid for
Once it's paid for, it's yours
When your website is paid in full you own it, including the design and the content written for you. You get full access to edit it in WordPress and Elementor. Some themes, plugins and stock photos are licensed from other companies and stay under their own licence terms.
You’re responsible for making sure any text, photos and logos you supply are yours to use.
SEO, Google Ads and maintenance
Local SEO plans and WordPress maintenance plans run month to month with no lock in contract. You can cancel with 30 days notice. Google Ads management plans have the minimum term shown on the Google Ads page for that plan, then continue month to month with 30 days notice.
Monthly fees are paid in advance. If a payment is missed I may pause the work until it’s sorted out.
Your ad budget goes straight to Google
Your Google Ads budget is paid directly to Google from your own account. My management fee covers setting up and running the campaigns and is separate from that spend. Google decides the final cost per click. I can’t control changes Google makes to its platform or policies.
Honest work, no ranking promises
I work hard to improve how your website shows up on Google, but no one can guarantee a particular ranking or amount of traffic. Search results depend on Google, your competitors and many things outside my control. Any results I’ve talked about are examples, not promises.
Keeping things fair for both sides
I take care with every job, but I’m not responsible for losses caused by things outside my control, such as hosting outages, third party plugins, Google changes or hacking that happens despite reasonable precautions. To the extent the law allows, my total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you’ve paid me for the service involved.
Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
