An Out of Date Website Quietly Costs You Work

People notice old prices and last year's specials

A website that still shows last winter’s opening hours or a team member who left two years ago makes people wonder if the business is still running. Customers check before they call. If the details look stale, plenty of them simply move on to the next result.

Most owners know their site needs a few changes. The trouble is finding the time, remembering the login and then worrying about breaking something. So it sits on the to do list for months.

That is where I come in. You email me what needs changing, with any photos or wording. I make the changes, check them on phones and computers and let you know when they are live.

Do It Yourself or Hand It to Me

You always have full access to your own website

Every site I build runs on WordPress with Elementor. You get full access to edit it yourself. Plenty of clients happily change their own opening hours or swap a photo. Others would rather not touch it and that is completely fine too.

The two can work together. You might handle the small text changes yourself and send me the bigger jobs like a new page or a layout change. If something goes wrong while you are editing, I can put it back.

I can also look after website updates for sites I did not build, as long as they run on WordPress. If your site is on another platform, get in touch and I will tell you honestly what is possible.

Updates That Help Your Google Rankings

Fresh content gives Google a reason to look again

Google pays attention to websites that are looked after. Adding a page for a service you now offer gives you a chance to show up for that search. Updating your suburbs and towns helps people in places like Wendouree or Sebastopol find you.

When I make website updates for Ballarat businesses I keep the page titles, descriptions and headings in good shape so the changes help rather than hurt your search results. If you want a bigger push, my local SEO plans start at $279 a month.
